A meeting on stroboscopic effects is planned with Members States for January 2020.  LightingEurope members are currently finishing their tests to prepare a WG SPR discussion on a possible legislative amendment to the Ecodesign Regulation.

On 6 Nov, EU policymakers, national authorities, NGOs and industry representatives discussed how to prevent evasion of extended producer responsibility (EPR) obligations through online platforms.

Relevance of Substances of Concern In Products (SCIP) Database for LightingEurope members

In the European Chemicals Agency workshop on 12 Nov details about status and timelines for the SCIP database were announced. By January 2021 suppliers of articles must submit information to ECHA. Follow up action will be discussed in the WG Sustainability meeting on 29 Jan 2020.

France, Hungary and Romania nominated their candidates for the Commission but the failure of the British government to propose a candidate could further delay the new Commission.
